A major new theatrical work that leaves no one unmoved.
A standout hit of the 2024 Avignon Festival, Qui Som? is the Franco-Catalan company’s most ambitious work to date—an acclaimed mid-scale production that has sold out major festivals and venues across Europe throughout 2024 and 2025.
With dates already fully booked overseas and limited U.S. availability in April–May 2026, this is a rare opportunity to present one of Europe’s most talked-about theatrical experiences.
Blending extraordinarily skilled physical theater, acrobatics, baroque music and robotic techno, clowning, fresh clay, a deluge of plastic waste, Qui Som? (“Who Are We?”) speaks to the urgency of our times while remaining deeply accessible. Its universal language of movement and metaphor connects with audiences across generations and backgrounds—no translation required.
“An irresistible vital energy in the face of the current apocalypses.” — Le Monde
“A masterful show as vast as our fears and our need for action.” — Le Figaro
Programmed in theaters and opera houses across Europe, the show doesn’t end at curtain call. In a signature gesture that sets it apart, the audience is invited outside by a live street band, where the experience continues—part celebration, part procession, part communal ritual. It’s immersive without being demanding. Inventive without being alienating. Profoundly human.
Whether for a festival centerpiece, a bold season opener, or a culminating event for community engagement, Qui Som? offers a once-in-a-decade opportunity to present a genre-defying, high-caliber international production that satisfies both artistic ambition and audience appetite.
About the company:
Baro d’evel was born from the artistic partnership of Camille Decourtye and Blai Mateu Trias in 2001 and officially became a company in 2006. The company’s unique creative process emerges from the interplay of disciplines and materials—blending movement, sound, musicality, spatial exploration, ceramics and sometimes work with animals. Rooted in physical research and poetic dramaturgy, the company continues to evolve with each project. At the moment of creation, all these paths converge in surprising, often delightful ways—giving rise to works that are as rigorous as they are alive.
